Wii (FIT) fitness now WHERE TO FIND (UPDATED 27/4)

Received my Wii fit today (two actually - one for a friend as both of us were checking and going to order for the other if poss) from Argos home delivery. Been exercising all night (sweeties at the ready tho for that sugar burst:D

Great - loving it. Currently watching dh doing all the muscle exercising;)

Hope those still looking get lucky soon.

Mine is now spending it's fourth day in picking and packing at Game. Surely they'd be back by now if they'd nipped across the road to Gamestation. I reckon they must be going to the Wii Fit factory itself!
Fired off an e-mail to Game this morning but Im not holding much hope as they haven't replied to my previous one yet. Not very happy. I appreciate these systems are in very demand but it would nice to be kept informed it there was going to be a delay. I've never known an item to spend so long being packed. It's usually a half day max.

My mum got mine from HMV Brighton!!! my top tips for getting this are....
1) If you are at home all day carry laptop all around the house with stock checkers on
2)Get email alerts as well as sometimes they are quicker

4) Phone customer services the minute they open... some websites aren't updated frequently
5) If you are looking for 1 from argos try and reserve just after they shut as this givs you the best chance of getting 1

That's the end of my tips but I still can't play on the game cos my mum bought it as 'a suprise' and I don't have a clue when she's actually gonna give it 2 me

I don't know about the rest of you, but I've had an email from Amazon.de (German Amazon) this morning to tell me that the item was delayed until at least 27 July (was previously supposed to be this Friday).

I've cancelled my order.

Will be trying my local Argos or Game I think!

Hi, I just thought I'd let you all know about my order with Game. Like many of you I placed my order last Friday and its been at the picking and packing stage for three days now. The money has dropped back into my account this morning so I thought I'd phone and see whats going on. After speaking to a very helpful lady she told me that she was very sorry for the delay,there has been a delay with the packing. The dispach note had been printed, so hopefully it would be sent today, hopefully to be with me tomorrow. So it should (hopefully!) be here tomorrow. Fingers Crossed! I will update tomorrow.

Thanks for the information b3ckys - much appreciated. I will keep monitoring my account on game throughout today to see if it goes from "packing" to "dispatched". I think I will go mad if it doesn't get updated today!! Please keep us posted if your order does get dispatched today.

Mind you, I just odered Okami for £24.99 (from shopto.net). If you are a Zelda fan then I highly recommend Okami. Also, Super Smash Bros is out tomorrow so it is a good time for Wii games at the moment.

My Game order is is also still in 'Your order is currently being picked and packed.' status.
TBH though, they haven't taken any payment yet, and you could end up with an extra Wii Fit, which could be sold at cost. As long as you don't end up out of pocket, then there's no loss.

I was lucky enough to get one from a Game store in Nottingham this morning. Apparently they have orders for last three days, but only around 6 units each time. Would suggest ringing a branch at 9am and asking, as I did and they put one aside for me to collect (they would only reserve until 10.30am, so may not be easy if you don't live/work near the store)
