Wii (FIT) fitness now WHERE TO FIND (UPDATED 27/4)

Just ordered a Wii Fit from Argos Home Delivery (0845 number). I am in Sheffield, South Yorkshire and they had one in stock - arrives Monday!

I was so sick and tired of trying to get one - daren't tell the kids in case it doesnt arrive!

I think it depends on the area you live - some depots have them in stock and some don't. In my area they said to call back within 3-5 days, so fingers crossed won't be too long!!!

I called Argos and I have been told none in stock. I hope those who managed to order will get it.
In fact it seems there is a worldwide shortage. My brother just came back from US and he wasn't able to lay his hands on one. Just found this - http://www.gizmorepublic.com/gaming/wii-fit-shortage-due-weak-us-dollar-5630 so they there has been shortage in US for quite some time.

Yeah it's a shame really! You'll never guess the biggest p1sstake; yesterday it was in stock in John Lewis, I randomnly went on the real time stock checker site and when I saw it stock, I went on the site and it said 10 or less in stock, but I had to register, type my payment details etc, by the time I pressed next (order) It was out of stock if only i'd gone on the site 5 minutes earlier. It's a game of patience I guess.

I managed to order one today at Argos in Scunny. After the website and the in-store stock checker saying the Wii fit was out of stock I decided to ask at one of the tills. The lady said there were some in stock that could be ordered through the Home Delivery service; so hopefully one will come on Tuesday.

I would advise anyone else to have a look around their local high street shops and make sure you ask the staff if they have any. Worst case scenario is they won't, but you may be able to find out when the next stock is due for delivery.

I was getting really annoyed trying to order one online. It seems as though the stock checkers are very popular which makes it extremely difficult to get hold of one as there will probably be hundreds of people trying the exact same thing. Just check your local high street and ask in as many shops as possible. After all its more convenient to sit and wait at a computer, so more people will probably take that option.

After asking around myself it seems to me that there should be some more stock coming in July, so if you cannot get hold of one now, then there should be some coming through in a couple of weeks. I don't know for sure whether that is the case however that was the impression i got from asking around.

Good luck to anyone who is searching. At the end of the day its patience that will prevail with this one.

I followed the other forum topic link re Wii remote controls to the Joolop website and found the Wii Fit in stock. Ordered both. Hope I havent been suckered.
