Just called customer services and they confirmed they had limited stock but thir system took too many orders and mine is one that will not be honoured either. I had option to cancel or wait. They had taken money so I said to refund me. If anyone else out there is expecting theirs to turn up I would call Comet and check. Thanks to izzy_flint for the message. Off to town now in the hope that by some extreme luck I might find one in stock some where?!

Hi all you knowledgeable Wii guys and gals!
This may be in the wrong forum but I was wondering if you could help me with a purchase of a Wii....I've been looking over the past few days and I've found an offer that looks pretty good but would like your expert views on it before I buy.

    The offer is:

    Nintendo Wii Console
Includes Eledees + Happy Feet + Cosmic Family + Bionicle Heroes
    For £232.50

    or

    Nintendo Wii Console.
Includes remote + Wii Sports + Nunchuck controller + Super Mario Galaxy + Crash of the Titans + Sonic and the Secret Rings + Remote docking station + 1GB SD Memory Card (Extra Wii remote & Nunchuck not included with the docking station
    For £246.25

    or:
    Nintendo Wii Console
Includes Zelda + Super Mario Galaxy + Wii Sports
Wii Dual Charge (extra Wii remotes & nunchuck not included with the dual charger)
    1 GB Sandisk Card
    for £247.50

    Which is the best buy?
They've got cars big as bars
    They've got rivers of gold
But the wind goes right through you
It's no place for the old

If they have taken the money and not just reserved it on the card then you can take them to court for loss of bargain, basically a contract is made when the money is taken, if they cannot forfill the deal (and you had a specific delivery date booked) you can buy it elsewhere and sue them for the difference. that way your not chasing the lowest prioce you could buy it elsewhere at an inflated price.

It only works if they have taken the money, if they have reserverd it from your card but not taken it that different, and by asking for a refund you may have given up your rights but I'd phone them up ask for the legal department and ask who the summons would need to be sent to.

Won't magic any more stock up, but hopefully will get you either a discount on your order, get to the to of the waiting list or someone else gets bumped.

Well, if you do get it after getting a cheaper one elsewhere, you could send it back under the distance selling act. Though you'd have to eat the return postage.

First *EVERY* UK console comes with Wii sports, don't be fooled into thinking your getting something extra. They also come with a Remote and Nunchuck, again becareful what they say, some places sell them like they are optional extra's or 2nd remotes / nunchucks.

Eledees is good, my wife loved it but that pack is aimed at kids, the other games are so so at best.

Super mario is good, Sonic is OK but was a launch title so pretty old and reduced in most places, Crash is so so, again read carefully Wiimote, Sports and Nunchuck come in the package. You DO NOT need a SD card, they are mainly used for extra storage or moving saved games to friends, the Wii has 512MB on board, I have not used the SD card other than putting my photo's on it and the SD card from my camera works Fine.

Probably this one, although not much of a discount. Two solid games but not really aimed at small kids.

Considering a 1GB SD card costs £6 and the Charger £15, then you paying £225 for the wii and games. Go take a look at http://www.officialnintendomagazine.co.uk/ for game reviews but I'd say leave them all, a quick look at things on Play.com recons your saving pretty much nothing, and they get to clear the crap they have overstocks of.

Have you seen the Mario Kart bundle at Dixons?

For £214.98 you get a Wii console + Mario Kart & the steering wheel. If you enter the code games5 and then aw5 you can get the price down to just £199.23. So you're paying less than £20 for Mario Kart which is a top game.
  • has anyone that ordered from amazon.fr received their wii fit yet?
