I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who has given advice on this thread re Amazon.de.

My friend's niece was desperate for one for her birthday (1st June) but she had given up hope of getting one on time.

She plucked up the courage and ordered one from Amazon.de on Tuesday morning and was delighted when it was delivered this morning.

It was probably delivered as quick if not quicker than some other UK based online retailers.

She hasn't tried it yet - she is going to leave it for her niece to try on her birthday.

As someone who bought through Amazon.de I can reassure you it will work absolutely fine, my kids have loved it !

Yes they are EXACTLY the same as the UK ones.

Amazon.fr now out of stock.

It takes 3-5 working days to be delivered. It is sent via Deutsche Post which is why the Amazon website only tracks it in Germany and it is delivered in the UK via DHL.

Getting a bit worried now as mine hasn't turned up yet plus I'm not holding out much hope of it turning up this afternoon either. I've tracked it on line and all it's telling me is that DHL have it.

It will be DHL, mine was, don't forget they have all day delivery times, relax!

Haha I see my eagerness to play was coming through in my post! I didn't realise about the all day delivery, for some reason it was in my head that DHL delivered first thing or not at all.

WEhen did you order?, I ordered mine last Thursday and arrived yesterday (bear in mind there was a bank holiday)

The GermanAmazon site now says:

Gewöhnlich versandfertig in 5 bis 7 Wochen.
Kostenlose Lieferung möglich.

Which sounds to me like delivery in 5-7 weeks!!! Does this mean they're out of stock too?
