It seems to be available in abundance all over the place in and around Manchester, eg. GAME in Salford Precinct and Woolies in Stretford Mall.

Gamestop in Stockport town centre has plenty in stock (and loads of Mario Kart also!). Must be the only place in the North West! Picked one up no worries today.

Thanks for the heads up mate. Got one for the in-laws today!

    Cheers.

It makes me angry for everyone who are trying to get a wii fit (like myself) and you then go on ebay and people are selling them on there for alot more money and they are buying more than 1 to sell on there. You can see that if you look at their history. Its people like that which are bulk buying which causes people like us to struggle and get one..........................

No, its people who are prepared to pay stupid prices that are the problem.

Basic economics says supply will always rise to meet demand.

i.e. if there is a market of gullible fools prepared to pay 50% extra to get an item ASAP, then a market place will exist to cater for them. Which in turn will make it harder for everyone else to get one.

Although quite why any adult would want a Wii when an Xbox 360 is cheaper and so much better I will never understand. The Wii is a last generation machine with terrible graphics quality being sold at a next generation price. I expect that most people spend a few hours getting over the initial facination with the movement sensing controller - and then hardly ever use it again.

It's because its a fun machine for non-serious gamers that you can play with family/friends and have a good time. Plus it has things like wii fit which are not possible with an xbox - it is majorly increasing the possibilities of gaming/fitness.

So in summary it would be nice if graphics etc were better - but most wii users don't really care!

The same is true of the large amount of childrens and family Xbox games. Except you can also easily have fun with other families / children via Xbox Live

Things like Wii Fit are perfectly possible with an Xbox. Except of course with much better graphics. In fact you can already buy, for instance, Exercise bikes that connect to the Xbox and allow you to play games.

Having played many games on both, that the Wii is any easier to play is in general a myth. It is certainly a different way of using a controller - but not really any easier that a gamepad. And similar controllers for the Xbox are out soon anyway.

At the end of the day you are paying next generation prices for last generation hardware.

We spend all day yesterday trying to get a console and wii fit online - out of stock everywhere! went into tesco aston in birmingham today and nothing on the shelves, but asked at customer services. Brilliant lady who sent someone to the back to check and came back with a console AND wii fit - last one in stock! Comes with a free high school musical game too (worth over £20!) so reallly happy with my bargain today - as they also let me use some vouchers.

if you are looking online like we did, its worth getting out and asking shops to check stock - it worked for me. thanks

Does anyone know how to contact chronopost?
I ordered my wii fit from amazon france 2 weeks ago and they sent it via chronopost. I didn't realise at first that I had a tracking number, and when I checked their website it says that they have tried to deliver it 3 times but no-one was home. They never left a card to let us know! Its been in a warehouse in Cannock for nearly a week now and the 'contact us' page is blank!
