Wooooo! I can finally post again! Computer probs meant difficulty in posting on various sites for the past few days so I'm a bit behind!

    Soooo...

Friday was: Sausage and pea risotto
    Saturday was: Spaghetti bolognese
Sunday was: Pasta with a HM spicy tomato sauce + roasted peppers, fennel seeds, olives and capers
Monday: Poo, as I've been typing this I've just realised we forgot to get tonight's dinner out of the freezer, so will have to defrost it when we get home! Think it will be chunky vegetable soup with bread and cheese
Tuesday: Bacon mushroom and pea risotto
Wednesday: Tuna and mushroom pasta bake
Thursday: Chilli beef pie (basically chilli con carne with peas and sweetcorn mixed in, and topped with mashed potato and some grated cheddar

Friday is pay day so busy planning the menu for March and drawing up my shopping list (I'm one of those who finds doing a one big monthly shop and then a small weekly one for fruit/veg/milk works best for me) I love drawing up menu plans anyway and I've got several new recipes to try in March! :)

Oh and I don't suppose I'm the only one who loves reading this thread, am I? ;) Call me nosey, but I love reading what other people are cooking (and all the little additional snippets too like purpleivy's review of her previous week's menu :) )

  • Hi Guys!

Sorry ive not been around but havent been too well again.

There are some great mealplans there.

We have changed our meal for tonight and Wednesday we have been invited to our friends for dinner to save us cooking which is great:j :j :j ....and tomorrow we may have mash instead if baked spuds, but that should be it for this week:D

Just done a biggish shop from Ocado as I had a £15 off £90 spend voucher code with free delivery, so stocked up on stuff for the freezer and cupboards, but shouldnt need anything for 2/3 weeks now apart from fridge and perishables:D

Well done everyone....I really cant believe we are in March this week:eek:

OH! I was surprised to read this comment, as I imagined it would be dull for readers, it's more there so I can remember what happened... well I can't remember, so I write it so I can look it up!

I dont need to do a shop this week - I am gobsmacked - only have to pop into mr t tonight when I get petrol and I will get some milk and maybe some spuds if any are on offer and I will look at the reduced chiller too.

We finally got round to our delayed chili last night and it was delicious - and I was SO good and used up some left over rice salad and some oven chips that wasnt a full portion and a chunk of crusty bread from the breadmaker - best "leftovers" type meal in ages!

meatballs tonight with mash and veggies galore :)

    how are you all doing?

    Regards

    Noo
