To lease or not to lease

It transpires that I have paying for one car or another for about 20 years. As I am not prepared to have an old banger, I wondered whether I should lease a car. I can certainly lease a good one for what I spend on paying off loans etc.
Has anyone had any good or bad experiences leasing a car? Any advice I should be aware of? Any good companies?
Any help would be gratefully received.

Some people are like a slinky. Not much use for anything, but they bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

Leasing is great if you want a mid range priced car and like renewing them every 2 or 3 years. If you want a cheap car or a really expensive car most of the time leasing just dont work well. Same if you like to keep cars for like 5 years then your better off just buying normally, leasing vans works out really well.
It really comes down to your needs wether leasing is the best option or not and just what type of leasing contract is best for you.
Of course remember you are not able to customize the car as its not yours to modify so if you the type of person to do this then leasing is not for you.
Make sure you get a contract with enough miles per year, your better off paying a bit extra for extra milage just incase rather than being stuck with a massive bill at the end cos the exess milage charge is normally crazy money but the difference between a 10,000 mile contract and a 15,000 contract is not much same with any higher milage contracts.
Total Fleet services is who I use for leasing they are great really good prices and they really look after their customers well, I have used them for years.
