best place to buy wallpaper cheap.

The kids have wrecked the wallpaper on the stairs and landing, I need to buy 6-8 rolls of wallpaper but don['t want to pay top prices, where can I get this for less than £15-£20 in Oldham area?

Is there still a GlynWebb in Oldham? They used to be really cheap. Other than that there's a wallpaper stall in Ashton market hall, is there one in Oldham's market hall?

Wilkinson's is another possibility and the DIY sheds sometimes have bales of a few rolls going cheap.

if the kids have wrecked the wallpaper , why not strip and line and emulsion or if the walls are in good condition wash off the paste and just paint ... much easier to repaint than repaper

Agree with nickj :D as you will be throwing good money away if you decide to re-paper, specially the HSL are the worst hit.

They have quite a lot of branches.
I have bought wallpaper from there last year.

We also got some of our wall paper from the internet-went to a place in manchester (very posh and expensive). Saw the designs we liked, made a note of them and looked for the wallpaer on the net and it was way cheaper.

Try Lancashire Wallpaper in Rochdale.(It's near Tesco) Their papers range from the very cheap to luxury, but they're usually cheaper than you find elsewhere(I'd say about 60% of DIY superstore prices for the same paper)

  • I know it sounds crazy, but I'm a great advocate of freecycle so if your not already a member it's worth joining and making a request on there. We every now and again get folks posting their left over wallpaper on there and get requests too for paper and paint.

It's a pity your not closer to me as I have 14 rolls of paper I'm going to donate either on our freecycle or to a friends niece. It was funnily enough for the hall stairs and landing but I changed my mind and put pine cladding up and varnished it as I thought it would save the very problem your going through and to be honest it wasn't much more expensive than a decent wall paper and looks great.

    Worth a shot.
