Ideas for day near Portsmouth

We have purchased something on ebay which requires collection near Portsmouth.
We would like to try and make a day of it, and would appreciate suggestions of things to do, on a limited budget in the general area.
Our children are 9, 6 and 3 months, and we plan on coming down on Sunday.

I live in the general area, not in Portsmouth though lol!
Fort Nelson is good, it's free.
Spinnaker Tower is good as well as the historic dockyard (HMS Victory)
Royal Marines Museum
Portchester Castle (English Heritage)
Maybe consider Portchester Castle and Fort Nelson. You only have to pay to go up inside the Keep at Portchy Castle.
Let me know if you want any more info on anything......0 -
Fort Nelson as suggested.
If you're coming down the A3 there's Queen Elizabeth Country Park.
