Car Insurance Help

Hi,
I've got a car insured with Admiral which I've decided to sell in the next couple of months and not replace. I only took the policy out about a month ago. However, at the moment, I have a window with a crack on it which will need replacing (too big to repair). I have got window replacement cover through my policy, but looking at their t&c's, it says that if you have made a claim, if you want to cancel your insurance policy, you won't get a refund of premiums back. Does this include the claim I'm about to make for the window, as it says this won't affect my no claims bonus (I have 8yrs, protected). The reason I ask is that it'll be cheaper for me to independently get the window changed, rather than claim through my insurance and lose the remainder of my premium.
Your help would be much appreciated.

Generally any claim on any insurance policy will mean no refund on your insurance premium if you then cancel early. It may differ from company to company so ring them with a "theoretical" query to confirm.0
