Cards for all occasions

Hello,
Just wanted to tell people of my experience so people are pre-warned.
In October I got some free cards (plus other goodies) for signing up to card for all occasions.
I felt it was mean to cancel immediately so I decided to accept a delivery to see if I would buy them.
When the cards came I decided not to proceed because
1) The cards were a compromise and not what I woudl ideally choose.
2) There was very slight damage at the corners which I would not get in a shop
3) They put up the price with no notification.
I called for a returns label to send them back.
Didn't get it for ages and when the letter came no label was attached.
Called to get address and sent them off with a proof of posting which I kept.
About a month later I got an invoice asking for payment.
Checked out the legal situation and told them that I was not liable and quote the relevant laws. They did then clear my account.
However I'm annoyed that
1) They lost my return parcel (I am suspicious)
2) They sent me a bill with no enquiry about what happened when they knew I wanted to send them back and had requested a label.
3) Luckily I was able to defend myself as I kept the relevant proof and know my rights, but I don't believe that things get lost in the post. I believe it's a cynical ploy to catch out anyone that doesn't have a receipt or doesn't know their rights.
So be warned.
Don't deal with this company and always get a FREE proof of posting and keep it for a while.
