Plastering Quote

Hello, i wonder if anyone can tell me if a quote I have received seems reasonable for some plastering work in Cheshire.

The work required is to skim 4 rooms. The room sizes are as follows:

4m x 5m
4m x 4m
5m x 5m
3m x 3m

The rooms have high ceilings, and I have been quoted £1k for the job.

Any thoughts appreciated.

sounds good to me - we had ours skimmed (less surface area than yours!) with a bit of render for £800

I had some rooms skimmed - boarded over celings and walls all skimmed. Cost was approx £500 per room, similar sized to yours.

Yep you got a good price there bluebell,if it includes the ceilings,snap his arm off lol

i agree if ceilings are included top notch price. make sure he provides ref though or is a member of fmb. Theres a lot of dodgy plasterers around

Imho there's even cowboys in the fmb's too. Agree with the ref's tho, ring there last few jobs a ask how they were.

Thanks for your advise - I have had a further quote for £800k inc materials so am going with that!
