Free Baby on Board stickers (Merged)

Like I said, the irritation is inexplicable!
However I think it is tied up with the assumption that the person behind is driving dangerously and this will make them alter their behaviour. It is ok to drive dangerously if the person has an "Only adults on board" sticker? Would that make the occupants expendible?
They are pointless because somebody who tailgates will do so regardless of whether or not you have a sticker. And the emergency services argument is ridiculous. They will search thoroughly whether or not you have a sticker in the back.
Parents have an understandable overwhelming desire to protect their children, but this achieves nothing. Increase safely by not covering up part of your rear view with a sticker. Instead concentrate on things that really make a difference - such as making sure you fit a quality child seat and install it correctly (many don't seem to).0 -
and to be fair, some of them do take a large part of the rear screen, and this blocks out the view.... this could be dangerous to cyclists and motorcyclists behind you etc etc....
I don't dispute that some people genuinely have them to protect their young, but I just think that we should all drive carefully and considerately whether the person in front has a sticker or not... they certainly aren't there for the emergency services....
I think making sure that your child is wearing their seat belt, and is strapped in properly in their child seat. I know I posted the thread, because it may be useful for some, but I personally wouldn't have one.
angelcake, forgive my cynical sense of humour... as I said, I believe you have used it for genuine reasons, but believe me, there are some that don't.** Getting back in the swing of saving again.... **

Always think these are pretty pointless to be honest...what use are they exactly??Does anyone alter the way they drive when they see one?
What next a sticker to say 'PMS sufferer on board and its MY TIME!!!'Happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want.

Do you not have a child? does any of you who apose of these signs have children?
I have never thought them of anything else then safety!!
I need to understand this! I didn't know that having children nowadays means you have to step on eggshells in case you offend someone who can't or hasn't??
not sure where the safety element comes into it......they are pointless and should be substituted with "I am a crap driver, steer clear!".
and yes I have 2 kids.Stevie Coppell's record breaking blue and white royal army - championship winners 2005-60 -

hmmm, a sticker which is 6 inch square may make the emergency services aware there is a baby on board? how about a 2 foot car seat?
