actually the police and fire service dont like them at all. most people leave them perminantly in the car even when the baby isnt on board , off they go for a drive, have a crash and the rescue people then waste time looking for a baby that was never there.
worst one i ever saw was a sticker which said "show dogs in transit". yea like thats gonna make me drive with more care.WWSD(what would Scooby Doo)0 -

Great, more for my NCT group as they send out up to 20 if they are for a baby group or nursery.0

After all, are you really assuming that people take those things out of their car when their sprogs aren't on board?
Also think - why would the emergency services need to know if there's a baby on board? If they spent their time looking for a fictional baby when someone else was croaking in another car they wouldn't be too popular.
I can only assume that these stickers are a warning for other road users, saying "beware - driver liable to become distracted at a moment's notice by on-board fights, tantrums, flying toys and the like". Yes, I have a child. No, I don't have one of these stickers in my car. An alternative theory is that these are used my men to try and show that despite their crappy rustbucket car thair macho in that at least they've fathered a child (and know about it).0 -

I think that sort of sticker acts as an incitement to crash into them ;-)0 -
I agree that these stickers etc are irritating, they drive me crazy. I'd always assumed that they were supposed to imply "i'm driving carefully so why don't you" but after getting carved up etc by drivers with these swinging around on the back window (more often than not obscuring their rear vision) I'm more inclined to think it means "I don't care about the safety of my children, so you needn't bother either"
sorry, rant over!

I always look at them and think that if a female is driving then it really says My ovaries aren't shrivelled up', and if a bloke is driving it says 'I've got plenty of sperm and they swim in the right direction !'
I see it as more of a boast rather than anything else he he he he ..... annoying aren't they ! A bit like the annoying ones that say things like nutty tart and naughty bird etc etc etc etc..... I see these as I want everyone to love me - I'm so much fun but really they aren't.
He he he.... by the way has anyone received either the stickers or the pens yet ?
I didn't order the sticker, but did put in for pens but didn't get any, bit miffed.

oh dear!!
I can assure people that a baby on board sign for me purely means that! it has been advised to have one to ensure drivers behind are extra cautious!! just like the Disabled signs, school transport etc!!
what sort of individual would use a sign like this to brag!?!?!?!?!??! I am amazed at some of the opinions of people on here!!
although lookin through the internet some of these opinions have been "copied" and "pasted" not even your own!!!
nevermind!!Angel

I also one of the many who is (inexplicably) irritated by these pointless signs.
I have been tempted to make "So what?" signs in mirror writing for sticking on the front windscreen. I'm sure there is a business opportunity there.0 -

but why??
Do you not have a child? does any of you who apose of these signs have children?
I have never thought them of anything else then safety!!
I need to understand this! I didn't know that having children nowadays means you have to step on eggshells in case you offend someone who can't or hasn't??Angel
