Hello to all,
Has anyone ever used a Property Finder agent? Would you use one? If not, any reason why? any comments or experience would be useful.
I have decided to start a Property Finder business, but with a twist and would appreciate any feedback. I am not trying to advertise my services here, just welcome you advice. Don't shoot me please!!
Kindest Regards
Nessie

hi nessie, I work as a property sourcing agent using the contacts I have built up over many years. However, I source investment and development projects as opposed to residential.
you need to decide your geographical area, the type of property you will specialise in and what you can bring to the party. why should someone use you?
many property finders charge a registration fee (I never have, I guess I really enjoy what I do and am in the position to pick and choose what I take on), but the likes of LPF and Garrington do. This I suppose filters out time wasters and manages workload. It is something you need to consider. Initially, maybe you want to provide a charge on purchase only so you build up contacts and reputation."enough is a feast"...old Buddist proverb0 -

Thank you for your advice.I too won't be charging a registeration fee, like yourself, I love searching for a property, it is a hobby of mine, one which hopefully will turn into a successful business.

Hi Julie,
Thanks for your email. At present I am gathering information and assessing other property agents, so I am not quite ready to start the business, I should be ready to launch within the next few weeks though. I would love for you to be my first customer. If you like, PM me your email address and when I launch, you will be the first to know about it.
Regards

Hi Ness, thank you for your reply.
I would like to ask a few questions and I am sure others would like to be in the know... you are offering to find a home/house from visiting diffrent Ea online as property finder (Like they do on TV)as a buisness. For witch you must be charging a finders fee for your trouble ??? Do you also show viewers around theese houses? Prehaps you could explain more clearly just what your new adventure has to offer that we cannot find for our selfs? If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

nessie, for the record and as stated in my initial post, I do not charge a registration fee. my distinct competence comes from the contacts I have, many of whom I have done business with and as such, I will often have properties, developments etc that never come onto the open market.
once you build up your contacts and trust you should be in a similar position and thats a key reason why people would choose you."enough is a feast"...old Buddist proverb0
