Does s75consumer credit act apply to training courses

Hi, I wander if anyone can help me with this queery. I purchased a training course in Oct07 online using my credit card for payment. I have since been diagnosed with a degenerative condition meaning that even if I complete the course and qualify, I will not be able to undertake the employment.
Any ideas to get my money back (nearly £3,000)gratefully recieved.

I think it depends on who you've purchased the training course with, and what their cancellation policy is like.

Section 75 offers protection if goods or a service is not delivered or faulty. So in this case it wouldn't apply.

However, I know most colleges will refund course costs if you have a serious illness or something major that prevents you from completing the course.

Get in touch with the training provider and ask what their cancellation policy is like. If you can get a letter from your doctor that would help too.

    Hope this helps, good luck
  • Maybe you can claim compensation from your credit card provider.

    Or not.

And yes I do work for a bank.
