    Hi Soolin

Just for your info, I work in a major bodyshop in the admin side, You are entitled to a car no matter who gives you it, but you are also entitled to it for upto 72 hrs after your claim is settled and that means you receiving a cheque. Directline can take upto 14 days to settle as they need certain documents from yourself for the vehicle before they can settle. So ensure they keep you in a replacement vehicle while this is being sorted as we use several companies in my bodyshop and they would keep you in your replacement til it is all settled then claim costs back.

    Hope your feeling Better Soon

Someone mentioned a deadline for reporting this to the Police - I think it's 24 hours to report it if anyone is injured or flees the scene. You're committing an offence if you don't report within 24 hours. I didn't do this in time and because of that the police would have prosecuted me as well as the assmonkey who hit me from behind and also had no insurance/MOT/Tax.

I know there is a traffic officer floating around on these boards somewhere who could maybe confirm these or correct me? ;)
