Thanks to Angel eyes for the end date!!

Answer: Bakewell

The Maynard is the first true Boutique Hotel in the heart of The Peak District. The Maynard’s rooms are currently being refurbished to a superior contemporary standard and the final product is expected to be just as stunning as the Hotel’s amazing Peak District views.

The new hotel rooms will be unveiled in just days, and Archant Herts & Cambs readers will be among the first to get the opportunity to book in!

We have teamed up with the newly refurbished Maynard Boutique Hotel to offer one of our readers an exciting mid-week break. By entering our simple competition, you could be arriving for a two night stay at the region’s first high quality boutique hotel which also boasts an AA rosette restaurant as New66x4.jpg The luxury bar area well as some of the finest views in the entire country.

You will stay in one of the hotel's 10 contemporary designer bedrooms overlooking the Hope Valley and on your first night you will be treated to a three-course dinner with Champagne in the sumptuous restaurant. The mid-week break is worth over £650!

Paul Downing has made the new-look Maynard in Derbyshire’s Peak District a great success since taking over a couple of years ago. With the help of a creative team of chefs, The Maynard won an AA rosette for the quality of its food, only weeks after re-opening after a major restaurant refurbishment in 2007. The bar area has also been refurbished to a high modern standard.

Panacotta6x4.jpg Enjoy the sumptuous cuisine The Maynard is the perfect base to explore the Peak National Park including the Derbyshire villages and towns of Eyam, Ashford-in-the-Water, Bakewell and the Tissington Trail. If you are a lover of the outdoors you will be in heaven; many excellent Peak District hikes, walks and strolls are possible from The Maynard’s front door; if you like the outdoors why not leave your car in The Maynard’s generous car park for the whole duration of your stay. If on the other hand, you want a change and fancy a bit of retail therapy, the famous Meadowhall Shopping Centre is only a few miles away by train or car. You can hop on the train right outside The Maynard’s front door, too. Sheffield central train station is incredibly only 13 minutes away, which you will find hard to believe when you take in the panoramic valley views from your room!

All the new rooms at The Maynard will be fitted out to the highest standards, with modern contemporary designer d!cor, fixtures and fittings, state-of-the art plasma screens, and all the home comforts you’d expect from a 21st century boutique hotel. All rooms are individually styled to make your stay feel extra special, with no two rooms exactly the same.
