Potterton boiler sometimes wont turn off

Hi
I have a Potterton superima boiler with a brand new Danfoss controller. Over the last few weeks it has generally worked as expected but refused to turn off a few times. I thought it was a dodgy controller so have had that replaced but the problem persists. Does anybody know what could be causing this problem. Basically the controller looks like it is off (all lights out) but the pump and boiler are still running hours after it was suppoesed to have gone off.
Could it be a new room stat is needed? or a sticking motorised valvue? (H/M/W) or could it be the boiler.
Any ideas would be really appreciated.
Thanks
Chirstian

Hi
I work for British Gas and I believe this to be as you think your motorised valve is sticking.0 -
Thanks very much for your reply, I guess it's time to get that replaced then and see if that solves the problem. I have a HomeCare 200 agreement with BG, is this something I should contact BG about?0

Also yesterday when I pressed the the boost (+1 hour) button for the central heating, the light came on but nothing happened, the radiators remained cold until the time when the HW and CH was programmed to come on. Is this another sympton of the same problem?0

You should defo get BGas out to look at it...homecare costs a fortune and this is exactly what you pay for. Good Luck:money:0

BG came and replaced the motorised valve today so here's hoping that solves it all. Thanks everyone for the help & suggestions.0
