Help-- the vendor delay the completion

my solicitor thought that it was dangerous to do that.You say that that the Vendor didn't say 'don't send me the money', only that he wasn't 'ready to move out'. In that case, that is his problem. I would have sent him the money on completion day, as agreed, and chucked him out of YOUR house.0 -

Its not that simple, although sometimes I wish it was. There is a legal process to follow which shappers outlined on the first page.0 -
You have exchanged contracts the simple thing is to find out when your mortgage company can re-rerelease the money back to your solicitor and then 10 days before that date if he hasn't moved out serve a notice to complete on him, if he fails to complete on the 10th day you can then sue him for your costs, sorry for your hassel but your solicitor should have served a notice to complete as soon as he failed to complete on the set completion date, particularly knowing the vendor didn't plan to move out.0
