I'm really sorry about that... They're still showing as discounted on the website - up to 30/03/2008, so I don't understand how that could have happened. I was sure, as one of the few people willling to give it a go, that you would be well rewarded.
I guess Codger might have a few more comments now... ;)
    Regards
Can anyone supply a direct link to the relevant page showing these wines ???

I have searched their webiste and absolutely zilch comes up for any of the wines mentioned.

    http://www.tesco.com/superstore/product/shelf.aspx?shelfId=W47GA&showShelf=0

Only four wines are now showing as discounted at my store:
    - Chablis 1 Er Cru Cote De Lechet 75cl
    - Chateau Taillefer 75cl
    - Geoff Merrill Reserve Shiraz 75cl
    - Vergelegen Red 75cl

Some that were discounted to end of March are now not discounted. Note that DocProc shopped at a store that didn't show these discounts - so unless they do show, it's not worth ordering.

    Regards

If I login to Tesco.com, like what you would, and then click on the link in blackanchorage's post no 53, then I go straight to the fine wines section. I notice nothing is discounted.

If I am not logged in to Tesco.com , then the link just refuses to work for me.

Me too. Managed to get a few wines up with blackanchorage's link and clicked on Add, but no way of getting to basket. When I eventually managed to get there, none of the wines chosen were in My Basket. Had another go and managed to get a different display (same wines). Chose a dozen and at checkout not one is discounted. I am not going to pay at those prices. How was the discount applied ?

Having had no success with the "fine wines" iffer, thought I would post this link. Tesco Wine Club (you only have to register to join , no cost.) are offering 33% off a lot of wines until 2nd March, so be quick if interested. Free delivery if you order £99 worth. Don't know if there are any delivery codes knocking about.

  • My delivery is from the dedicated croydon warehouse - none of these wines available!
    Thanks anyway.

Wondered on another post whether one could use the Double Value element of Clubcard Deals(it's a new heading)in conjunction with this scenario?
    Any ideas?

    Doc:

My apologies: been absent for a few days.

I am not going to say anything at all about your experience at the hands of demented Tesco except. . .

Your post of 25th Feb is one of the funniest I've ever read anywhere.

Honest, I am not one to fall around in tears of laughter at someone else's misfortune.

    But really. . .

A wonderful story, wonderfully told. :T

Were it possible for me to email you a bottle of plonk by way of thanks, I'd do so now right, only it was one of a half dozen ordered from Tesco in 2002 and hasn't yet arrived. . .

Thanks again for a superb post. (And how good to note: you're in profit. Yay!)
