Charity Wristbands

Just for the record, not everyone who sells wristbands is profiteering.
I wanted one of the Lance Armstrong Foundation "Livestrong" wristbands (my Dad has cancer) but you can't buy them in UK except on eBay.
If you buy them directly from LAF you have to buy in multiples of 10 so I ordered 10 directly from LAF, kept one for myself, and sold the rest on eBay. I used the proceeds to buy more of them from LAF and sold those on eBay as well. I repeated the cycle until the market for them on eBay dropped off.
In total I donated over $80 to LAF from eBay sales of the wristbands. That's $80 that they would not have otherwise had.
PS. In a full and frank disclosure, I also sold my "Beat Bullying" wristbands on eBay and kept the money. In my defence, they weren't charity wristbands to begin with - they were given out free in limited numbers to promote a campaign.Everyone loves Magical Trevor.
'Cause the tricks that he does are ever so clever.0
