insurance claim with backdated road tax

In december i wrote my car off, (a 1996 rover 620sdi), while processing the claim i realised that i had forgotten to renew the road tax, when i sorn'ed the car i got 'nailed' by the dvla and had to pay a small fine and the back tax, so with paying the back tax the car is in effect taxed until the day i sorn'ed it (hope this is making sense to you ) does anyone know if my insurance claim will be valid ?
