Carrots storage

oops I have over ordered carrots on my sainsburys online shop - I live on my own and am going away for a few days next week so can anybody tell me the best way to store them so I dont waste too many of them?

I'm currently packing and don't intend to come back until the end of August (and only then cos the kidz have to return to school):mad: hehehehe. I've just emptied my salad draw of a big bag of carrots, peeled, sliced and par-cooked them and frozen them in serving sized batches. Defrosted and cook-thro they are ok and brill instews/casseroles.Life's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0

There's a great site pointed to in an older thread on storing foods which says that carrots will be OK in a fridge for 1-2 weeks and for several months when frozen.
