Top notch customer service from JANSPORT

I have two Jansport bags and the zips were getting a bit fatigued, split etc and they have had a heck of a lot of use since I bought them, a lot of use.

Anyway I sent one off to get repaired under warranty, lifetime guarantee on both the bags I have. I asked for the zippers to be replaced on both pockets and wondered about it being returned before we leave for hols.

Anyway today, I received the bag back, they say 14 working days for turnaround of repairs, so spot on for that, they replaced both the zips perfect, and they also replaced the back straps although I didn't think they were particularly bad and needing repaired, replaced. They sent it by courier and I signed for the package etc. Great service from them.

Also, the bag that had been repaired had actually been sent to me gratis a few years ago. I had bought a larger bag from Macy's in Atlanta and due to the warranty not being valid in the UK, I couldn't get it repaired unless I covered the charges. Fair enough I thought, the only thing was I wouldn't get it back in time as I was expecting my first son at the time and wanted it to use when I went into hospital. Anyway, as a kind gesture the lady at Jansport said that she would send me a daypack that I could use as a baby bag on the birth of my first son, seeing as I was so attached to the first bag, I really like it's colour. They didn't charge and it again was sent by courier. Customer service second to none, brilliant. Many thanks to Jansport, great customer service. Anyone looking to buy any kind of day pack etc or computer bag etc should give Jansport a go, they have been brilliant, the packs and the service.

I've bought loads of rucksacks in the past decade, mainly Nike, adidas, reebok, umbro. They do the job but show wear and tear after a year or so and I bin them. In 1998, on holiday in Florida I bought a heavily reduced Jansport rucksack. It is still absolutely pristine after loads of trips - it puts all other brands to shame. I know they're not cheap, but you get your money's worth a few times over.
