Esporta Contracts - Was I too late?

I wrote to Esporta November 28th to cancel my membership for the end of the month. They say they didn't receive it until the 4th December and therefore I need to pay an additional months membership (in addition to the ridiculous 3 months they ask for). I've initially told them to go away as it was posted in plenty of time for them to receive it for the end of November but I'm expecting them to come back. Any advice on whether they can do this?

Well, Nov 28th was a wednesday.. so even 2nd class should have got there by the Friday.

could you demand them to show you your letter !?? I doubt how useful it's gonna be , to be honest.

However... just make sure you go there ofen enough this month to get your money back !!!

they are bit assole, that's why I went to their office to sign the form...
ask them for confirmation lettter/email as well..
