Is it worth signing up for e-billing with equipower/equigas (with Southern Electric)?

My gas and electric have just been transferred, and I notice on Southern Electric's website that I can opt for e-billing, (which means I would not get any billing through the post but this would not necessarily be a problem).

Apparently, you can view bills online, and send in meter readings. Is that all you can do? I was hoping that I could (if the need arises) change the amount of my monthly DD, or if I so wish change to quarterly billing.

Could anyone clue me in to the full range of e-billing services with Southern Electric?

Sorry to hijack your thread Nicholas but I have a quick question.
I am swapping my gas and electricity to Equipower/Equigas from Powergen. The electricty account has gone through no problem but I have heard nothing about the gas account. Did you have any problems?
May be something to do with the fact that they owe me £100 on my gas account!

more than likely this is because powergen will be objecting to your transfer away. They will block any attempt by you to leave until any debt is paid. So pay your powergen bill, contact southern and ask them to re-apply.

Thanks Barbie Babe. I have e-billing set up with numerous suppliers, but I was wondering about this one in particular.

Surely there must be somebody out there using e-billing with Southern Electric that could give me the heads up?:hello:

I'm registered with my Equipower account.

You don't have to switch to email bills, you can still keep paper as an option. It is only useful for viewing billing history, paying bills, submitting meter readings and changes of address. So not the functionality you were looking for, but it costs nothing.
    Up Tipp!

Sorry for the delay - been away.

If you re-read my post you'll see they owe me, not the other way around:-)
