i know that youcan take 4 weeks holidays off before you need to tell tax credits. Does this mean that if im working(self employed) 2 days a week 16 hours average that i can take 10 weeks off for holidays thanks

Why would you get 10 weeks? You can take up to 4 weeks off without it affecting your tax credits not 10 weeks.

I think the OP thought that 4 weeks = 20 days, and working 2 days a week that would equal 10 weeks. :rotfl:

OP, just the 4 weeks, no matter how many days you work.

tinkerbel84 is right sorry did not make myself very clear. thats how it usually works when working part time.

you don't get more holidays for working part time you get the pro rata amount of full time working. so if full timers get 4 weeks of 5 days a week (20 days), someone working 2 days a week gets 4 weeks of 2 days a week, eg 8 days.

forgot that. thanks for reminding me.I can now remember why i started to work for myself (poor employer holidays).Only in our areamost full time employees get 6 weeks as standard.thanks for your help.
