paint peeling off ceiling

i have a downstairs bathroom with shower cubicle recently refurbished. the shower has an expel air right above it, and when i painted the new plastered ceiling i used a 50/50 water paint mix to give the first coat, and then two more ordinary coats. unfortunately the paint is beginning to peel. can anyone recommend a paint so i can go over it again. i would have thought there is some sort of elastic type paint i can roller straight over the top of what's already there, so i can cure the problem once and for all.

You have my sympathies:p I have just had 3 ceilings replastered, YUK what a job and the mess:rolleyes: . I was told to paint the ceilings with UPVA diluted to seal it. Then paint over as normal.
So far ours are OK but we have had to put 4 yes 4 coats of paint on:cool:
Hope you get yours sorted out. When man sacrifices the Love of POWER for the Power of Love, there will be peace on earth.0 -
you need special stain removing primer if there is any water damage, as a stain may come through, but flexable paint thats fab is wikes ripple go through quidco for cashback, its good enough for trade and i think its brilliant, flexable and thick enough for good fast coverage on ceilingstotally debt free:j and mortgage free too 20100
