I know this might seem dull, but how about a lucky dip with ribbons hanging out of the tub that holds the 'prizes' instead?

That way, everyone gets something, and it's fairer...

maybe make them out of those mini cereal boxes so they still look like footie shirts?

or would a sweetie treasure hunt be an idea? if you could get hold of little chocolate footballs (the ones in foil) you could use those, in keeping with your theme

annie, just a thought about the pullina, cos ive heard of them before and thought about getting one for ds party aswell, but what if the first string you pull opens the box? game over and all your hard work will be done with!

hope you get some ideas together to make whatever you decide though, and be sure to let us know if you do manage to make one successful cos ive got ds party coming up soon!!!

I think I've changed my mind.

With regards to the prospect of some children either being greedy and taking too many and others squinning cos they didn't get a fair share, I've decided to do a "What's in the box" game.

Like the old Des O'Connor tv show, there will be a minute of "Yes or No" game, then do you want what's in the box (be it good or rubbish) or what I'm offering to you.

I think that would work quite well, but there are 2 children I can think of that will squin if they don't get a good prize, but you can't win em all LOL

LOL - "squin" or "squinny" is a local word for having a tantrum or getting upset unnecessarily.
