Home/Buildings Insurance for Student Nurse

Hi, everyone

I've tried to get home and buildings insurance for our family recently, but some insurers are refusing to take us on because my husband is a student nurse. (He's 48, and never attends wild parties). Does anyone know of a good insurer that looks at the person rather than the role, or do we have to continue with Halifax's over-the-top premium?

Thanks

Diane

Hi - assume your nurse to be belongs to royal college of nursing ! If so Frizzells/London Victoria should be able to offer cover very reasonably.RCN website may well point you in right direction

a bonus of being insured with Liverpool Victoria is that you are almost always gaurenteed a payout in the event of a claim ;)
if it's more than 10 stone, and that hairy, it's probably not a dog...it may be a wookie.
