Which van to transport bikes in?

I'm sick of high fuel costs and my old Golf only does 34 mpg. I'm also sick of fitting my bike rack and bike and then parading it around the local area. Not to mention the fuel costs soar with the drag of bikes on the back.

I would love a vehicle I could just open the rear doors and roll bike in, close rear doors and go. No removed wheels etc.

What do you guys think of this - a Renault Kangoo, big enough i think to roll bike straight in (2-3 bikes possibly) diesel version does a lot of mpg and with rear windows good visability.
