Fuming! Three.

I need a bit of advice from you all. This is gonna be a long one, hopefully you'll be able to understand whats going on and it'll make sense.
My bf upgraded his phone in Decemeber. He did this in a new Three store which hasnt been open for long. Got a mix and match deal £36 a month and last month he went over his bill, by about £100 , his fault and we never had any complaints about it.
Anyway, we went in to a different Three store (it's a little one inside Superdrug) to find out if he could get a text add-on to stop him going over his bill so much each month. We went in this store because the manager in the main three store is really arrogrant, and that's putting it lightly, and the people in the other store are lovely and really helpful (no idea why my bf didn't deal with them in the first place) They informed us that when my boyfriend took out his contract he should have been offered an add-on of 2000 texts for an extra tenner a month. He was never offered this. They said they couldn't sort it because 30 days had gone. He rang three customer services who told us we would have to go to the store we bought it from.
We went into the big three store, and talked to the manager, who said he only offers this if it's asked for (how's anybody supposed to know about it?) he also told us, when we told him the other store had explained he was entitled to this that he'd heard a little rumour that the other store was closing down. Hopefully you're getting some idea now of the kind of man he is.
To cut a long story short, went back to the Superdrug store, who said they would sort it with the other store for my boyfriend. They rang my him a couple of days later to say it was all sorted out.
Fine, or so we thought. On Friday my boyfriend rang customer services and they told him that no add-on has been put on his account. Now my boyfriends gone over his bill again and this is not at all his fault.
We went into Superdrug yesterday who said they would get in touch with this manager from the other store this morning. They have just rang my boyfriend to say that this bloke is telling them he rang my boyfriend twice, leaving messages both times, saying it would have to be activated. This did not happen.
I'm fuming. This is just one of many problems we've had with three and we've all had enough of them. So now my boyfriends gone over his phone bill all because of some !!!!!! who can't be arsed to do his job properly.
Is writing a letter/email complaining the best thing we can do?? If so would somebody be able to give me a hand with this.
This is not the first prob we've had with 3 and I refuse to accept their rubbish customer service anymore

email or letter to 3 dont usually do much
visiting manager in question wearing a balacalvar and a basball bat will get a more satisfaction0 -
I honestly think if we have to visit this man again my boyfriend may hurt him :rotfl: He is a complete tool.
I've just written a very lengthy email, perhaps too long, if I put it on here will anybody have a read and help me improve it, think I may have gone on a bit too much in it. Not that it will do much good, have emailed them in the past without it having any effect but what else can we do. It will at least make us feel better.0 -
im thinking different, agents for 3 running different promos... so just coz it was in the superdrug store doesnt mean it applies to everyone. just that superdrug or superdrug stores with 3 stands.
when was it supposed to be applied to the account?? ie, next bill date? as it cant be instant... maybe ur not entitled as the contract wasnt taken out with that 3 stand in superdrug?
ur sayin ur mans run up a bill of £100 off textin?! NO WAY!0 -
no, this is a promotion all stores are running, and the bloke in the other three store was aware of it, he just couldn't be arsed to offer it to new customers.
the people in the superdrug store are just as fed up of him as us, sounds like we're not the only people to complain about him.
it was supposed to be applied immediately. this is what they told us, it also says on the three site that all add-ons are put on straight away, or within 24 hours, something like that.
and yes, £100 from texting, no idea how!0 -
It's the same with all mobile phone shops. They don't necessarily tell you about the deals unless you specifically ask i.e. if your b/f had said that he spends £100 a month texting (Holy Guacamole!! If my OH spent that much money and time texting, I'd dump him!! He must get RSI texting this much!!), then they would have perhaps offered him the 2000 text for £10 option.
Annoying as it is, at the end of the day, you should always make sure you have the right phone deal for you before signing a contract. If your b/f knew that he texted much more than he was going to get given, then he should have stated this at the time, and not signed the contract.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
They knew how many texts he had on his old contract, 1000 texts plus 300 mins, the highest contract he could get now is 1100 units, which was obviously not going to be enough. Superdrug said they should have offered him it anyway because it is not something anybody but people on this contract can get.
Before all this happened, and just a week after he had the phone it started with major problems, so he took the phone in only to be told that all he could do was send it off for repair, and was told by customer services (wrongly! but he was not to know) that he was within his rights to cancel the contract. He told the manager this and was told 'you leave that phone here and i will leave it outside the store to be stolen so it isn't my problem'.
Something else has happened this morning, just waiting to find out what.
I've got the email written, waiting for bf to send me his account no. so it can be sent.0 -
