Argos Bed

Hi,
I bought a bed and mattress from Argos 6 months ago. The quality is total rubbish, the metal poles which hold the mattress are sagging out of shape and the mattress itself is in a state with creaky and damaged springs. It has lasted no time at all.
The bed has had normal use  and neither of us are large enough to cause problems on a regular bed.
What are my rights when it comes to returning this product? Is it reasonable that a bed should only last 6 months?
Also, do I have to accept an exchange instead of a refund? I have no desire to have any argos products if this is the quality.
Thanks for you help,
Min

i would contact them.
i had to return a bed 3 times as a design fault meant the base cracked.
was replaced twice with no qualms and the third time i paid a bit extra for a 'better' bed which lasted longer0 -
Thanks Custardy.
I will contact them and might suggest exchanging both for a quality mattress, that can go on the floor for a while till we can afford a decent base to match!
Just want a good nights sleep, OH's snoring is bad enough without the creak and twang of dodgy springs mixed in!
