Hi chaps,

I'm looking for a mamas & papas Pramette. The cheapest I've found it for is 245 pounds. Thats excluding aessories (more like a necessity) such as the car seat.

Any suggestions???

It may be worth getting a seperate car seat. Which magazine did an article a few months ago on the safest and best ones around. You can access it online if you sign up for a free trial. I found the article at my library.

The Boots offer seems good though. Have you checked it'll fit safely in your car? I would always buy from a company that shows you how to fit it properly and will tell you if it's wrong for your car. Most car seats are incorrectly fitted and this means that they can be ineffectual or dangerous in a crash.

Have fun with the new pram!

Have you tried a M&P shop? Not so long ago they were selling off discontinued models/fabrics. I brought one recently for £200 which included cosytoes, shopping basket and raincover.

You can find a store locator on their website.

  • Have you looked on Ebay. It is amazing how people buy these prams and don't seem to use them. I have seen some amazing M&P bargains on there (mainly because I am thinking of selling my own) and they don't go for much money at all.

Worth a look. They also sell new on the site

    thanks
  • I completely second Ebay. There are so many M&P being sold everyday there is every chance there is a bargain.

Go for second hand, look for close ups so you can see the wear and tear. Within a few weeks a new pram will look exactly the same.

If I had my time again I would have done the same.
  • Buy second hand if you can -my local paper is awash with M&P prams
