Problems with new Dell (network)

Options
Hi

Does anyone know why my husbands new Dell 5100 (new today) crashes when he tries to put in a netgear wireless network card. A blue screen comes up saying "bad pool header"

Any clues gratefully received

Looks like either Windows has installed a bad driver for the wireless NIC or the driver loaded from the install disc (netgear disc) is not Windows SP2 friendly.

Go to netgears website and download the most current driver for your card.

    Hope you get sorted.

I would hazard a guess at it being a driver problem. It would help if you could let us know what operating system, software and hardware is in your PC.

Did you manage to reinstall the netgear driver or chekc to see if there's an update for it. Its better to keep SP2 if possible.
