The sign with the GWP says free WYS £20 on all No7 so it should go through ok, pink voucher would be a problem though unless SA would override it.

i think the pink voucher will work,i got the RM powder brush that cost £17 ,and used £5 off pink voucherand total came down to £12,and got yet another pink voucher

    Hi guys,

Why do some Boots stores have crazy discounts and others do not?

I went to my local store last weekend (which is a big store on 2 floors) and there was one small shelf with discounted items. The stuff on the shelf was either damaged or in broken packaging etc and the discounts were mean, like just 50p off because it was damaged! There were no bargains to be had at all.

I notice that lots of Bootsters on here find bargains like the Ltd Ed No 7 eye pallets for 40p - I bought 4 of those before Christmas and they were £9 each!!!

I spent over £43 (in 2 transactions) and was not allowed to use my extra points with my purchase voucher because I used the Illum voucher. Seems unfair that there are different rules and discounts in different stores.

    Anyone else found this?

    Lemony x

It is annoying, I know. I've often read on here about stuff peeps are getting for next to nothing, but they are still full price in my local store. It definetly depends on the store manager whether he/she discounts certain items. what you find in one store at 75% off may well be full price in another store. If it's any consolation, it drives us all nuts;)
  • In our area we have two relatively large and one small Boots. In that v-e-r-y small one I managed to buy(for free with help £5 off N 7) an eye gel £4 and essential moisture foundation (£5). So its always better to check up on smaller Boots stores.
And extra points question- all points vouchers have to go before money off vouchers. Otherwise they will not scan

I'm going into Boots tomorrow and fancy treating myself to a self indulgent face mask so think I will get the HH one

I want a decent body scrub too, any suggestions?

Also stocking up on Scar serum, love the feel of it on my face

Need to plan my shops properly to gain some vouchers:rotfl:

Are you going to the Luton branch? I was there today and none of the AC machines were working:mad: I didn't get there until 2pm and someone had cleared the shelf of S&G gift sets in the clearance section. They were priced at 7.50 the other day, but I noticed most of the clearance items had been reduced further, so I missed out:( I should've bought one the other day, oh well! they had a few pantene gift sets reduced to 2.50, but the 200 points PC wouldn't scan - It was worth a try:D

I agree. I always find the best bargains in the smaller stores:D

I have tried billions of exfoliators, the best thing I've found is an exfoliating glove, they do the job much better than sugar scrubs or pumic scrubs...botanics and the sanctuary both do them...and scrub yourself down with the glove and anice shower gel! HTH!

failing that the sanctuary ones (sugar scrub in large tubs) are good but they leave a 'moisturising residue' which always makes me wanna bath again!

:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A

  • I've been using this as a facial serum since I read your recommendation, I've noticed a visible difference as my skin looks fresher and healthier.
I'm recommending this to my son who has some acne scarring though will check with the doctor first as he still uses a retinoid cream at night.
Nice find, I'm definitely going to stock up on this while it's on offer at £3.99 plus 100 points from ACM.

PS Anyone looking for this, it was with the Expert range but not with the bodycare items and Bio-oil, two stands for the Expert range in my local store. SEL said Scar reduction Cream, but it does say serum on the box, also SEL shows price at £5.99 but currently going through at £3.99.
    Bargain :j

Anyone tried this on stretchmarks??? Have a few that I would like to get rid of courtesy of my dd's!!!!

Would love for them to go away....do you have to keep using the cream for the scars to stay away. Or once they are gone are they gone??

I decided to buy this yesterday instead of the Hand Saviour, because it was a lot more for the money (lol).
My hands get rough when I do gardening, although I do regularly use hand cream.
I have to say how good I thought the Cocooning balm was. I put some on my hands last night and they felt so soft this morning, better than when I have used normal hand cream, even Total Effects.
Obviously it is meant not only for hands.

Yes I have to second that...it's wonderful stuff. My MIL bought me some for xmas. Finally got round to trying it a few weeks later one night. Woke up in the morning feeling like I have a new body! All refreshed and moisturised, but not at all greasy.

Stocking up on it with the £5.00 voucher at the moment!

First I tried to use the Free Camera voucher against two waterproof cameras but the sales assistant said that it wasn't valid against these cameras (I know now that it is) Then I picked up 2 normal disposable cameras and so she said I could only have one free! I put in a complaint to Boots customers services about the member of staff's attitude but just got an email saying that they will investigate further! Maybe I am being a bit cheeky but I was kinda hoping for some points to be added to my advantage card as so many others have. Any clues as to what to do???? I am hopeless when it comes to complaining. Boots have asked me to give a description of the "Rude lady that served me" but I haven't responded yet. Any help off any of you experienced Bootsters is greatly appreciated.

I too had a problem with a SA who wouldn't let me have 2 disposable camera's which were clearly labelled BOGOF. I bought the one that she allowed me, but after it playing on my mind for a few days, I rang customer service & explained what had happened. The girl put 899 points onto my advantage card & apologised for the SA attitude & would look into it. The name of the SA was on my receipt. I did feel bad giving the SA's name, but she did have a pretty bad attitude:( . Not sure what you should do, but HTH a little!

I'm not sure which vouchers work with the mirror or whether you'd get GWP, because I got mine ages ago. But, I just wanted to let peeps know - who haven't got the mirror yet - how good it is. It's one of the best items I've ever bought from Boots. It's a bit scarey at first, when you see yourself so close up, but you soon get used to that, and It's amazing for plucking your eye brows. Mine have never been so neat:D

I too think that the No7 mirror is fab! I bought it at Christmas when it was half price (& purple gwp!), and love it! I don't know how I ever managed with my previous unilluminated Avon mirror!
