One more quick question if you kind MSE'ers don't mind - is an ACM one of those machine thingys that are in the stores (feel a bit of a numpty asking that - total Boots virgin here !) and what do you do with them ! (I can hear you laughing ! lol)

The mirror is fab, had mine for ages now (when you could get it free with the pc voucher). There's a normal side and scary side but I would definately recommend getting one as once you get used to it you'll probably never look in the normal side :D

I'm sending mine back *Bright-Idea*. :( It's got two scary sides and no normal :D

Used last pink voucher on No 7 Smooth-On Bronzer. It was on the clearance for £6 and I asked the SA if it would work with the voucher - and it did! So only spent £1

(Jo_2k & Ruby) that was in Hessle :) There were other things, no major savings, but I'll post later if I remember anything special. Just got back from the funeral I mentioned so can't concentrate fully.

The Boots shopping was a bit of therapy, and it worked.

Just remembered, there was men's shaving foam (large cans of Boots Essential for sensitive skin) down from 99p I think? to 25p in Prospect. x

Yes, the machines are called Extra Offer Kiosks in stores! Put your card in as instructed by the slot and select view offers (I usually just go to view all offers), scroll through and if you want to take an offer up, press print and it'll print a voucher for you. When you're done get your card back via the release button. (it's easy to forget!):rotfl:

Yes you can use the £5 pink voucher against that, worked for me twice
You *may* get away with the 200 point voucher, although they may have to add it manually

Good luck - I wasn't allowed to use the £5 pink voucher and get the GWP. Still fuming! Hope you have more luck!
  • Just to add - the 17 lip glaze doesn't look much in the packaging but it's actually quite nice. Not sticky and I was pleased with it. I'll definitely be going back for some more 17 make-up - I'm sure it's the same as No7 but in different packaging.

Its a good idea to write it all down, what you want, which vouchers you will use etc etc. I've been doing this Bootsing for a few years now and I still get flustered trying to remember everything! :D

Jo_2K and rubylou (and any lurkers ;))

Kingston Retail had a small clearance shelf or two for reduced cosmetics.

Didn't buy much as I'm at the 'less is more' age ;) but I bought a L'Oreal Intensifique mascara for £2. Not sure what the price was originally, but checked online and average price of mascara is £7 - £8. They look nice too and in good packaging. There was some powders too, all good brands for between £2 and £2.50. Bought a L'Oreal Colour Appeal shadow thing for £1.50, and a L'Oreal lippy - Made For Me Naturals for £1. Nice shade and even nicer container, more expensive looking :)

L'Oreal nail varnishes in various colours - 50p - so bagged a couple in the subtler shades - no gaudy ;)

They kept moving the display to make room for a last minute surge on Mother's Day stuff, so it might be right near the entrance :) The Ted Baker large cosmetic/toiletry bags (?) were still £9 from £18, but I'm hanging on as they don't seem to be shifting.

The Nivea Visage Sunkissed Skin is still on £3 at Kingston, other stores still £5.99 afaik.

Also just remembered that in Prospect C. the picture frame/mirrors were reduced again to £1.50 and there were some Glitter Babes stuff at half price.

Hessle had Expert ultra dry anti-perspirant deodorant (roll-on) down from £2.75 (ish?) to 75p. I'm not sure if the printouts or mag vouchers would have reduced these further - I forgot to check, but might be worth a try. I forgot to check most of the points/offers tbh. They also had some reduced No7 foundations for £5, but all in tan - I'll see if I can find the original price, but if you like tan and have a pink voucher left - might be worth a punt?

Slightly off topic, but Poundland had Pure exfoliating wipes - 2 for £1 but never seen these before so not sure of their value, and Nivea Body Sun-kissed Skin (moisturiser + gradual tanning  ) for a pound - obviously ;)

I'm sure there was something else, so I'll post it if my memory returns

Edited - Prospect had load of S&G Steamy Showers, but not easy to spot as they were at the side of the escalator - still £7.50 but still good value imo x

If there is a points event for Mother's Day and they are giving 500 points for £20 spend, will a double points voucher from a mailing double the points to 1000 for £20 spend?
