They also had loads and loads of the S&G and Hatboxes -down half price but may go cheaper as so many-worth watching if local!!:D

I have this theory the hatboxes will get reduced again on Monday, after Mother's Day. I'm trying to remind myself I don't really want one because they aren't anywhere near as good as the Xmas ones that were £6.25 in the 75% off sale, and I bought three of these!

I'm a sucker for hatboxes though, have to say.

I bought this today.....£7.50 (well 750 points cos I paid with points to placate DH)

I also bought his birthday present with points today (one way of getting him into Boots on his birthday). It nearly killed me....I spent 9999 points on a digital camera (on offer from £129.99) . I said to the SA I want to pay with points and she said oh no you can't do that because you can't pay part points and part cash. I said I know and I want to pay with points please:rolleyes:

She was gobsmacked when over £350 to spend popped up on screen. I was heartbroken to walk away and the total back down to £250:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

Some good spends this morning though....I bought 7 lots of No 7 for Men hair stuff (£6.00 each). Paid with pink voucher, 100 points from new magazine and 250 points from previous GWP and paid £1 each for them

    So....shop today valued at £42.00
    Paid £7.00
Received £24.50 in points.....which goes part way to placating me over DHs camera

I couldnt imagine anyone having £350 of points on there card how long have u been saving them up?

My 3 for 2 17 offer didn't work for some reason.
    I bought blush powder,
mineral blusher with acm points offer,
and blush powder and gt free lip glaze with H&B voucher.
Bought S&G Jam session with ACM points offer

    Baby items for £5

Also got nivea and 2 x olay so got 1400pts just from that transaction.

Total spend 34.56 Total points 1965 PC offer points 1000, offer points 650, kiosk offer points 275, points 40)

(S& G set was £7.50 and bought with AC points)

Disppointed about 3 for 2 not kicking in as I didn't really need all that blucher IYKWIM!!!

We didn't have any 3 for 2 signs in my Boots today. Wouldn't the lip glaze have counted as one of the items so getting it free twice like the trevor sorbie coupon mentioned a few days ago.

When I was in the store this morning the SA wasn't going to accept the mix of vouchers for No 7 Men's items. I said "would you kindly just try them for me please. I have spoken to Customer Services as I have been refused the use of vouchers on several occasions. Customer Services advised me to ask the SA to try the vouchers and the till will decide if they are acceptable or not." - she looked thunderous but tried....and lo and behold....they all worked. She may a muttered comment about not supposed to work combining offers and I commented that perhaps they needed to sort out the till programming then.

From now on if a SA refuses vouchers that is what I will quote

  • just come back from boots in brombrough(village one) and got expert sensitive light moisturising lotion for 99p and expert heat protection shampoo also 99p dove anti persp roll on reduced to 99p exfoliating sponge (great for pamper baskets) 99p all in clearence section dont know how much ive saved but sa wouldnt accept voucher for 100 points when you bou any epert product because you carnt use it with any other offer. spent £4.86 if id remembered and chucked chewies in i could have got my hair voucher arrrrrr.
I went to the other Bromborough store today, managed to get 2 pots of Q10 reduced to £2.xx each but had 400 point so for £5.xx spend got 800points. The Sa was made up she went and got the last one off the shelf. They also had other Nivea creams reduced and 17 make up and natural collection make up reduced to 50p. I always find the one in the village a bit behind on the times and are a bit more stingy on the reduced prices!!
