Morning all,
I'd like some advise if someone would be so kind.
I currently have ~14k in a Sainsburys internet saver account, which has recently been lowered to 5.75%
I have 3k in an NS&I which has just dropped to 5.80%.
I'm keen to move my money out of Sainsbury's since I'm pretty fed up of them not even informing customers of a interest drop, and secondly because there are better rates to be had.
B+B are currently sitting at 6.40%, but have not dropped yet inline with the recent base rate drop.
Icesave's easy access account is paying 6.05%, having dropped. Icesave also have very nice fixed term investments with up to 6.76% to be had for a 6 month investment.
From what I've read, there seems to be a air of caution surrounding B+B on these here forums at the moment, and there also seems to be huge praise for Icesave.
I was thinking of locking some of the 14k in one of icesaves fixed rate accounts for 6 months or a year, and put the rest in the Icesave easy access account. I'd like access to some of my money at the moment.
Thoughts?

Along similiar lines, Kaupthing Edge (another Icelandic bank) are currently doing 6.50% on instant access and 6.86% on 12 month term deposit: http://www.kaupthingedge.co.uk/
The 3K in the NS&I, it's not in an ISA is it?"A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -

Yes it's the direct ISA, sorry. Your question sounds like bad news is incoming?0
