It depends on what has gone. Pump, rack or drive belt. Have you checked the fluid level and looked for any obvious signs of leaks ?0

there is no signs of a leak you cannt get to check the fluid levels0

With a bit of luck it'll just be the drive belt, unless it's one of those electric racks, then £££££££££. Not sure on the 4 yo Micra.
. Actually it could be the fuse that controls that, if you say you can't get at it, it may mean it doesn't have a fluid reservoir as they are always positioned to be accessible, it's routine maintenance. I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

i had this turned off then straight back on again and it was fine, took it back several times to nissan while it was under warrenty, they checked it but because it was ok they said there was nothing they could do. The warrenty ran out in Oct and know its gone completly there was obviously a problem back then and i am annoyed that now i will be expected to payStephb1986 wrote: »this happened once with my fiat seicento i just turned the ignition off and left it for 10 minutes and then turned it back on and it was fine

LOL of course they go wrong just its a lot less likely to go wrong jap cars are in genral extreamly reliable cars, but no matter what you buy there is possability of getting faults.
As for the OP hard to say without looking at it so we would know just what is wrong with it and your best off getting it in for someone to have a look at it to find out just whats wrong with it.0 -
Hmmm, if it works sometimes and not others and if switching off and restarting cures it, then it definately sounds like a wiring fault to the electronic rack, 'cos it sounds like its definately got one. As said you need to get someone to take a look:beer:I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
