Beat My Quote! Travel Agents Thread - Anyone got a Reply?

Hi there - as you're a travel agent please ensure you've seen Martin's post and have the correct signature if you're PMing deals in response to the thread:
Travel Agent Code Of Conduct
Now I may be being really thick here but I have tried to add Martins Travel Agent Code of Conduct signature and have copied and pasted it exactly but I just get an error message back saying the signature is too long and must be a maximum of 5 lines - think the sig is 7 lines.
What can I do?
Thanks0 -
Hi,
this is what I had posted:
Seen as no one really looks at the Beat my quote thread any more...
I'm looking for a hol in April, must be hot, 7 days and pref Manchester, although can get return flights to gatwick for £80.
I found this:
The Quote itself: 595pp
Who the quote is from: travelrepublic
Is there a booking fee: dont think so
The Tour Operator/Airline/Hotel: Not sure, but the hotel is Gran Principe Bavaro in Dom Rep. Or any other nice hotel to be honest.
The departure Airport/Post: Manchester
The Holiday Dates: 21/4 for 7 days, but an fully flexible for whole of april
The number of people travelling (inc kids ages): 2 adults
The Hotel (or * if it’s allocate on arrival): Gran Principe or any other 4 or 5*
The Board (self catering/half board etc): AI
Any specific requirements: none
Is an in-flight meal included - not bothered
Ready to book tonight.... thanks for all your help!
But would like anywhere nice, Dom Rep, Barbados, Bahamas, Grenada, Bali etc etc etc
Thanks very very very much in advance

I'm currently considering offers from casevlloyds and Engadine... very good as well...
But is there anywhere else i could consider... aside from Dom Rep? I had a quick look at the likes of Goa, but the hotels seem really bad, Cape Verde, but seems very boring... I'd like somewhere else maybe in Carribbean or somewhere hot.
Thanks.0 -
I love Cuba!

For some reason the GF doesn't fancy Cuba...
We done Egypt last year and Tunisia the year before, and Turkey a few times, so dont want to go there again...
I'm looking for inspiration!0 -
Personaly I would opt for one of the Riu hotels. Standards are always good even though most are 4* on Dom Rep but get better reviews than most 5*
Riu Bachata on the 30th is £538 pp and there might be codes floating around to reduce this even further
Riu Mambo Hotel is £494pp for the same date
Riu Merengue Hotel is £502 for same date
All hotels get 10/10 customer rating with Thomsons and price inc transfers and in flight meals
Portland Direct soemtimes can be cheaper
23rd prices are
a little more expensive but still under the price you have already
The Merengue is £928.00 for 2 on the 30th with Portland but I think you have to add flight meals and transfers on top
If you want Grenada or Barbados you will have to drop down to 3*AI for your budget but the hotels are still good . They are not as big thats all.
Grenada is by far my favourite of the Caribbean islands its stunning and the people are friendly. Barbados is nice we stayed at the Tropical Escape and if you can change your dates to May you wil get AI for your budget because pries drop alot in May for all the Caribbean
Try www.xl.com for Grenada or Antigua we stayed at the Rex Blue Heron in Antigua which was good ...not brillaint but the beach and island made up for what the hotel lackedIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0 -
Hi where is guaranteed to be the hottest etc in April?? I dont think I can wait till May... need to get away!
Only prob with XL is that they only fly from Gatwick, so will have to add at least 80pp on top of the prices.
Where did you get the prices on the Riu's....? Is there a big difference in where you stay in Dom Rep, i.e. North. South. East?0 -
Maybe Sri Lanka could be an option. You might have to travel to Gatwick but First Choice have some good deals.
25th April 2 weeks AI Hotel Neptune £574 its only a 3* but knocks spots of most other hotels.
www.firstchoice.co.uk
If you can wait till May http://www.firstchoice.co.uk/costarica/ last year you could get 1 week for around £350-400
Same goes for the Pacific coast of Mexico some top notch hotels for less than £500 for the week maybe 2 week
29th April but from Gatwick
Sandos Caracol Beach Resort & Spa 4* £588pp
in Riviera Maya
MexicoIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0 -
I got the Riu prices off the Thomsons web site
I have not been to Dom Rep but but my sisters go alot and they stay at the Rius but have stopped in the south and then go back to staying at the Rius but its all personaly tasteIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0 -
