I'm in a situation where my Egg green card at a stage where 0% doesn't exist. It be December before i can get the anniversary offer. HSBC just offered a 6mths 0% b/t card and i was wondering do i just transfer that credit limit to egg grren card so it would creaste positve balance on Egg green card?

I dont get where Egg blue comes into play. Would i need this to transfer the funds from HSBC?

    You have 2 options.

    1. Do as you say and create a positive balance on Egg, although depending on the size of this positive balance it could ring alarm bells with Egg. I've had a 3 figure + balance but never a 4 figure. Maybe others could confirm?

    2. Another way would be to transfer off Egg to your current account a few days before the BT comes in from HSBC. This way you may incur a little interest at 14.9% APR (minimal cost as only a few days) but if you get both transactions done before your statement is produced (start 2 weeks after your last statement) the balance at statement date will still be zero. Make sure your Egg is at zero before you start though.

To the stoozer, Egg blue acts as another routing card or "mule" and is mainly used during months 2-5 of the Egg Green anniversary period when the Egg green is "tied up".
