If your credit file and credit score is poor we can remove all negative entries from your credit file thus improving your credit score to a point where you can, once more, apply for lines of credit again.
To be honest, I read this bit and i'm not prepared to give any of my time to read it further.
What rubbish! No one can remove anything from your credit file except the credit reference agencies, and that is ONLY if something is PROVED to be there in error.
Its basically all marketing language to give you an impression that something is going to work one way, where they actually do something in another way. Whichever way they choose, it definately comes across as dodgy to me and I wouldnt trust them as far as I could throw them.Debt is not the be all and end all. There is always a solution!0 -
Credit repair companies do nothing you can't do anyway yourself. Usually they charge you for credit repair *advice* and still expect you to do everything yourself. Some of their advice is barely legal. Don't touch it.
If you think there is something on your credit record that is wrong then post the details here and we will try to advise.

As far as i am aware the only way you can clear your bad credit rating is to wait out the 6 years it takes to clear. These company's take your money but they can't actually do anything for you. I personnaly would steer clear of this. Are you desperate for your credit rating to be repaired?0 -

Quite a few available, start here http://www.moneysupermarket.com/currentaccounts/ and tick the 'Basic Bank Account' box in the search. A bit more general info on the FSA site http://www.fsa.gov.uk/consumer/pdfs/bank_account.pdf there's a table on the last page showing why you may be refused by each bank (may be easier to read if you print this page...)0

I think the CO OP do this kind of account and also the Halifax. Try Natwest too. I just have a basic cash card account with Nationwide which i love, in fact i dont miss my debit card or cheque book at all, i find i can keep a better eye on where my money goes by only using cash.0 -

The Coop basic account is very good, but not easy to open. Not because of your history, but because their systems are very intollerant of differences in address formatting. For instance,
If their database (PAF) says your address is:
Flat 1 Grange Court, 2 The Avenue, Small Borough, London SW22 12A
They will not accept proof of address stating
1 Grange Court, The Avenue, Small Borough, London SW22 12A
Even if it is your council tax bill!!
They require multiple forms of proof of address and identity, and it doesn't matter how carefully you check with them over the phone whether the item is acceptable, they may well still request additional items.
However despite all this I urge you to persevere, a normal current account can easily charge you £100 for a single miscalculation (that results in multiple failed direct debits), and the Coop will never charge you for making a mistake (although they may eventually close your account if you make repeated miscalculations).0 -
following on from what the last poster said about the co-op.. I am in the process of openeing their bog standard basic account. did it all over the phone, sent of the necessary documentation and then.... nothing....
phoned them up yesterday to find out what was happening as I hadnt heard from them in about 3 weeks and i was told that as the application had taken so long it was no longer active!!!! Said they would do it again and I wouldnt need to send the documentation again ( they still have had as they dont return it anyway!!???) but i would still receive a letter saying I needed to send it in. they aso told me that they would need to credit check me again, arghhhhhhh........ asked how much longer i would need to wait and was told that they dont like to give an actual time but could be at least 2 weeks. I give up... doesnt give me much hope of the standard of service I am going to get from them if I EVER even get the damn account in the first place.
Really wish I had just gone into a local bank now but i chose the Co-OP as I will get interent access even with a basic bank account and they have one of these moral code of ethics supposedly. Im geting the distinct feeling that they arent really bothered about having people open up basic bank accounts so arent that bothered if they accounts just sort of disapear during the application process.
OKAY, Rant Over!!  :wall::EasterBun ...what more do I need to say?!
its all in the name of medical science.0
