Halifax 1200% Interest charge - is this normal?

Two things,
Popshed -Why dont you ring Halifax before comming on here and having a rant.
Wayne Elise -0% Interest cards are not 'frauds', they are simply an easy way for CC companies to exploit the people that cant be bothered to read the Terms and Conditions of such an offer.0 -
Popshed...give your cc company a ring and they'll refund the interest if this is the first time you've been charged. Don't demand it, just say you didn't understand how it worked and then act all surprised when they offer a refund. Note this only works a couple of times and then they won't do it anymore!
Also you should read the t&c's....0 -
i'm very nice honestly! I just felt your answer was a bit blunt - "start your own post anyway".... how about "By the way you really need to start a new thread if you've got a diffferent question..." or something?
If you've not used this sort of thing before it can be a bit confusing until you get the hang of it and i'm sure they didn't pose a question because they couldn't be bothered starting a new thread or anything.
And I didn't think the blue face was a nasty one i thought it was more a 'thinking about something' face!, this site is for us all to help each other and offer advice and support, not to nitpick when someone makes a mistake!
Anyway, don't want to fall out with you :beer:0 -
I still believe there is nothing wrong with my answer. My answer might be short, but stick to the point. It was much better than you quoted some words from somewhere. Honestly?!

Pls be nice to all MoneySavers. There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.

I have no idea what you mean of nitpick? I only told thrasher to open his own thread. Anything wrong with that? Anyway, I don't need to explain anything with you. And I know there are quite a few people on the internet like you. I save my breath.
Finally, noticed that your debt, give you some advice. Spend more time to look after your own finance, your family can't help you out too much. Honestly.0 -
This is my last word on the subject i'm not getting embroiled in a row on a website so whatever else you decide to throw back at me i won't respond - there's nothing wrong with me, i'm not a "type on the internet" and i don't believe there's anything wrong with a bit of manners! The reason I quoted from the forum etiquette box was just a reminder of what the people running the site say i.e it was not just my own opinion.
yes I am in debt - like a lot of people on this site - and my being on here is to try and sort it out and pay it off.
You know nothing about my family and the circumstances in which i came into some money from my grandad (he never even knew i was in debt so wasn't bailing me out)
I am on my own and am trying my very hardest to pay back debts which I accrued due to leaving someone abusive and starting a new life, unfortunately i don't have a wardrobe full of fancy clothes, shoes and memories of flash holidays to show for it all.0 -
This is also my last word regarding this thread.
I was not the one who started the argument. I hate people who makes quick judgement on me. You don't know me. And I don't want to know you. Your business is your own. You might have your history. Who doesn't? I have been on my own since I was 14. Well, I still survived, because I have been strong.
Apology to OP, the last few posts stole your thread.0
