Looking for some advice please -
My brother has managed to get the Trojan virus on his laptop - even though he has Norton 360 all in one package installed on the computer. He hasn't told me what the name of the virus is but that 7 of them are attacking.
Asked the Techie guys in PC world & they advised that he would need to restore to factory settings - saving documents/photos etc to memory sticks. Will this work/will documents etc be saved without the virus?
Or are there any other solutions???
Thanks for any advice

Irrespective of the virus, one should be backing up anyway."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

In fairness to PC World, and without defending them in any way, the whole point of all manufacturers introducing the Recovery Partition was to enable them to employ script monkeys on peanut salaries (instead of properly trained tech support gurus)........the limit of their "knowledge" is to guide the user through a simple set of steps which gets their pc up and running again. You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky
Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.0 -
