I hope this is in the right place, if not feel free to move it for me.
I dye my hair and have tried many things to remove the dye on my face and hair line. I was wondering if anyone on here had any tips.
In the past i have used those wipes from Superdrug (rubbish), milk and even aftershave (as suggested by hairdresser) but I am usually left with some dye there for a few days.
I have just dyed my hair again this morning, so really should've posted this earlier but any answers I shall bear in mind for next time.
Cheers:D

I had thi problem last week afterputting a Blue/black hair dye on  .
It took about 3 days to wash out from around my hairline .
Havnt got a cure but you are supposed to smear vaseline around the hairline before colouring to prevent it!Moneysaving? - I cant stop spending because of this site!0 -
My hairdresser has come up with a sure fire way, but not for the feint hearted.
Apply some cigarette ash on a damp cloth and the dye magically disappears.
Then shampoo and condition as usual, try it ,it works.

My hairdresser used to use hairspray on my hairline.
What about nail polish remover!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
I use a face scrub made with olive oil, ground rice and a drop or two of lavender oil - this gets the dye offI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080

I always use Witch Hazel, though usually as the dye is doing its job. I sit there poised with a soaked cotton bud, in case of runs!

I always use vaseline around the hairline , it gives a good barrier and works a treat.2008 winnings....:)

You obviously didn't read the weirdest tips thread before you started!! :rotfl:The tip was this: 'To make an excellent barrier to stop home permanent chemicals making their way to your eyes, ears or neck, dig out some sanitary minipads that have an adhesive backing. After your hair is up in the bonnet or on the pins and curlers, and before anyone applies anything liquid, attach the minipads sticky side down to the forehead, temples and back of your neck. Laid lengthwise at the edge of your hairline, they will stop all drips from reaching your face or collar.'0
