Hi lil Miss Sunshine,
I've been with NPower for just over a year and am in fact about to switch suppliers.
We're only with them, as we were new customers when we moved into our new home.
They are okay as suppliers, I've never had to phone them about an issue. You can also update your meter reading online and also sign up for paperless billing.
However they have a bad habit of always changing their bill layout and giving you new account numbers due to computer changes, but hopefully this last change is the last. It's much easier to read.
I hope this helps.

Don't know about now, but their Customer Services were dreadful, dating back to when they were MEB through a few years of N-Power, not been with them since we finally were able to move away and said we'd never go back to them as CS was so bad. Though said the same about BGAS.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0

I have been with Npower for two years in April, cannot leave them soon enough (when I get my £80 cashback in April, but even so I was thinking of leaving earlier).
I was seduced into joining them by their low prices,Sign online 4, however once you are entrapped they bring out a new tariff for new customers only and gradually at each price change increase your tariff to be virtually the same as the standard expensive tariff.
Also at the last price increase they introduced reginal variations for their gas prices as well as electric, which meant my tariff increased much more than the quoted average 15-17% increase.
As well they increase the allocation of primary units in the winter time, which means you pay more at the higher rate in winter than in summer. They do this so low users do not benefit by not using all of the primary units in the summer.
Need I go on, no thats it!0 -
We have just switched from NP having been with them for quite a number of years now - we thought they were fine, didnt have many issues except when they felt it was necessary to increase our monthly D/Ds. They tended not to want to listen to us (this was before they wacked up the prices) so getting them to readjust was dificult so we normally ended up well in credit each year end.
The crunch came however when they recently put our monthly elec & gas up by 24% and 34% respectively - quite unbelievable! So we hv switched to E.on saving ourselves close to £300!!
What do we think of NPower?
