Ask them directly. Not sure if anyone knows their procedures. Is there a problem if you had to fill in the paperwork again?0

im guessing the agency fee's
tbh any agency who tries to retake agency fee's from an existing renter is one to walk away from0 -
We've rented twice from the same agency.
We had to pay the reference check fee again which was £90 for the two of us (price had gone up to £150 in the meantime so we did get a small saving here). We had to put down a new deposit on the new place and get our deposit back for the old place. So in effect, no different from using a new agent. If you're good tenants, though, they may be willing to negotiate to keep you.0 -
i would negotiate hard with them - get your own credit check for £2 from Experian, show them bank statements - pay slips - anything they want - but refuse to pay any further fees - they are taking the mick0

Good tenants are like gold dust. So unless they have some one else lined up for the property I would say you are in a good position. I would argue that you will be moving at some time anyway and they risk losing a good tenant to another agency or private landlord for the sake of greed and have two properties to find tenants for. (cant blame them for trying though, but i wouldnt do it)O0

Hi Tammy, I saw this post a few days ago and it got me thinking. We are looking into moving again in the next few months and while browsing the net I see properties that our agents have that are in MUCH better condition to this one AND lower rent. I had to contact the agents today about another matter so I asked them if should I find another property of theirs would I need to pay the search fees again. Answer.....NO:T£2 savers club. No.90. Aim £500.0
