I think that if you not too worried about getting a bit cold then go for it.... Take a flask of tea or coffee and a few snacks so you dont have to pay out any money on food and drink and the die hard car booters that are out there will go no matter what, just to get a bargain............... If it's your bargain then all the better........ Money for you and a bargain for them :j
All the best;)0 -
theres no harm in trying! I did one 2 weeks ago and it went well so you never really can tell how busy it'll be!
good luck if you go x0 -
I'd go if it bright & sunny like today. It might be cold but the punters will be there looking for bargains :TLooking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier

Gonna be a lovely weekend! So yeah, go for it! Car boot people are those that arn't put off by the weather, so I would say you will have loads there. Think of them all missing out over the winter, they will be itching to spend their spare change!
Don't forget carrier bags and change x

The last one we did it was cold and rainy and there were still lots of people there. there's lots of other fun stuff to do when it's hot and sunny so I would be less likely to go then.Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Good luck if you decide to go for it...0 -

Thanks all, just had a phonecall from my son at uni - he can't pay his rent! He is owed £120 by broke housemates but has nothing in his bank and has to pay £320 Monday. I am the guarentor so guess who has to find the dosh!I feel sick. He starts a job on Thursday (min wage 20hrs) so frankly too little too late! I could merrily string him up.
So guess who has absolutely no choice but to car boot tomorrow! Bit worried about the cold air. I have asthma and it shuts my lungs down. Ah well - 4degrees they reckon. Big scarf or 2 for me!
On a happier note I have some of those swings bought for a fiver to sell (on grabbit board). Thank goodness for this site - you have kept me going.
Thanks again, you are all wee dotes.XXXX
